Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.
Originally these systems were used to cool mining equipment during deep-space mining operations, however with the Imperial High Command offering generous credit sums to anyone developing technology specifically for the Imperial Fleet, Somtaaw Engineers applied a similar principle to develop cooling systems for combat vessels.
Specifically designed for all variants of the Hiigaran Destroyer chassis and fitted over the existing engine housing, these huge heat sinks allow destroyers to push their power cores over reccomended safety levels without risk of the fusion cores overloading.
This extra energy is often used in engines, to provide additional thrust, and weapons systems, to accelerate kinetic projectiles to higher speeds. While doing little to make destroyers more survivable to enemy fire, Somtaaw Cooling Systems will give them the ability to hit harder and manuever faster.
ingenious
I just realized how hard it is to see the subsystem when it's black on black with black details =P sorry^^
Umm... where to look?
compare the engine cover (sides, just before the engine) with another image of the destroyer and you'll see the vents and orange markings below the engine which are part of the subsystem. It blends into the hull so it's hard to see, especially with the lighting >.<
i'm always for more system-slots and new usable subsystems ...
Black on black, in the map with the lowest lighting conditions.
Hmmm...
The weird things lack of sleep does to your mind =D
i sure hope you guys removed those annoying sub system health bars when a ship is selected, nice work
noep, still there and though they may be a pain, the information they give is kinda vital.
