Operation: Firestorm is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour. This mod currently features 8 unique playable Generals each with a huge arsenal of new units, buildings and special powers ar their disposal. While the core gamplay stays the same, a number of interesting new gameplay mechanics are added. In addition the overall visual quality is greaty improved, including new models, textures, FX and an improved User-Interface, available in full-HD resolution.

Welcome back Generals,


Another year, another sudden burst of productivity!
If you have followed the Alpha build updates you can see that we got quite a lot of work done over the year, even if it meant to delay the public release. Now for this update we want to present some of our progress to a wider audience.

Our first update for this december revolves around civil Tech buildings present on skirmish maps.
In order to make skirmish maps more interesting we further expanded the list of available tech buildings in OFS.

Tech Radar Base


The tech radar base reveals a very large area around it to the controlling player. In addition, enemy stealthed units are detected in a smaller area around the radar base. Depending on the radar's position on the map this can provide valuable intel for offense or defense purposes.

Tech Anti Air Turret


The tech Anti Air Turret has to be manned by a single infantry unit rather than captured (like the Pillbox and ATGM site in the current version). These turrets cannot attack ground units but are deadly to enemy aircraft within its rather large attack range. Anti Air turrets can be found in various maps mostly on backdoor routes.


In order to give you opportunities to utilize these tech buildings, a large number of maps have been added to OFS. This includes new custom made maps as well as popular community maps. In addition, our custom tech buildings can be found on a number of edited stock Zero Hour maps.

For the last part of this update, Here's a preview for a small selection of new maps that will be available in the upcoming version.
