The world's nations unite abruptly to combat a much larger problem... During the raging war between the USMC and the MEC/China alliance towns and buildings were destroyed. One such building was a research facility containing unknown chemicals working to develop a secret weapon. When a tactical air strike struck the building beside it, experimental failures were propelled into the ventilation shaft; apparently killing everyone inside. Not so. A day into the burial of the former scientists, a body began to twitch. Medics were immediately called in to tend to the man, however they soon took his place in the shallow grave. Corpses rose throughout the burial grounds, their brains irreversibly damaged by the very chemicals they had worked so hard to synthesize. The airborne vapors had killed off most of the victims' skin, causing it to rot whilst they were still alive. Their nerve endings were severed; they feel no pain, they can only revert to the most primal of motives; food.

Today we have decided to release a short Trailer of Operation Dead Dawn, and some of the changes we have implemented from feedback and suggestions. We really appreciate the input and hope for more in the future.


New additions/fixes that are not yet in the beta contain:
* The newest Zombie Addition (Bat Zombie)
* Waves are a little more frequent but also has been rebalanced
* Hidden Kits have been almost fully setup and are at least ready to be placed around the maps.
* Dalian Plant has been redesigned to fit the theme of the mod as a size 64 Coop Map
* Dark Kark is now a 64 size map with AI support for 64.
* New Arena Mode and map. This serves as a training, so you can learn what each zombie is like. Plus the mode is made so that each round goes through each zombie. Once it does one of each zombie it does 2 of each, then 3 of each, and so on making it progressively harder. Also in Arena you get all 29 Weapons kits to play with, and try out.
* The Infinite zombie dieing bug has been fixed.
* Each Wave is now also Announced using a group of audio files.

The AI is still currently the same, but we hope to have a solution to that in the near future.

Also, I am debating on creating an update to the Beta. A lot of people have requested to have more than one map, plus the 64 size map size makes Dark Kark a lot more interesting to play, you don't feel confined to a small area of the map.

I agree a day map would be quite cool, but we'd have to be clever with concealing zombies. Like Ivan said, a dense city and/or thick fog would work well.

I'd really like to do a day map with good fog though, something like Songhua Stalemate.

Well the dalian map is actually a lot brighter than you would think and is pretty much a daytime map. Still the game works best with low visibilty since it takes away from the scare factor. If you play the game with all the lights out and in complete darkness you'll find the game a LOT easier by the way lol. Still yeah I may think about a daytime map, maybe another dense city with a low fog that doesn't bling you but gives a scary effect. Not totally sure on that though and it that idea wouldn't be done for awhile even if we decide to do it, but I assure you we will let you know.

This is something we are working to fix, but the map is there. Act like your are changing gamemodes and reselect Coop then the map will show.
