In 2525, a small human colony on the far reaches of human territory named: Harvest peacefully goes through daily life. The small military bases train farmers to defend their colony and families tend to their crops, but unknowingly a shadow falls on the planet, its fate sealed in a heartbeat, while celebrations occur, a small vessel is attacked near harvest by the darkness soon to fall on Harvest. A small group of ODSTs and 2 Marine Staff Sergeants: Avery Johnson and Nolan Bryne are sent to investigate the small ship, but find something they never would have thought possible: First Contact... At first the creatures are friendly, but things turn nasty quickly. The Beasts known as the Covenant start to glass the planet and slaughterthe colonists. A team of 4 ODSTs: Sgt. 'Risky', Lt. 'Sabre', Pvt. Jefferson, and Col. Flannery are dispatched to secure the hotspots and assist the evacuation. As you finish the final town of Heffield and you depart in the frigate: Spirit of Might, the capital ship begins firing on your small ship. The covenant finally disable shields after risky completes activating all 8 auto-turrets manually. One round punctures the hull and disables the main engines and causes the Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engine to fail and the only way to safely depart is to go into the compromised section and manually recable the auxilary engines and that is what Risky does. As he desends into the hull he encounters multiple boarding parties, but eventually gets to engineering where a few engineers have managed to stabalized life support for a few hours. Risky slowly plugs everything in while being told countless times by the few engineers, the SoM's Captain: , and the rest of his squad that life support will fail if the engines are reactivated fully. Upon completion the life support fails and the engineers try to escape while Risky's pressurized suit saves him. The covenant ship seeing that the breach has life in it not covenant, sets 5 turrets to fire at maximum force at the section. Risky, slowly walks attempting to dodge the rounds, but is singed by one lucky shot. His suit begins to reveal several leaks. Seeing there is no escape, he stumbles to the armory and finds 2 tactical nuclear devices. He carries these into a docked Lifeboat and sets the timers for 5 minutes, he then launches and sets a crash course towards the juggernaut (ship glassing the planet)'s reactor. The lifeboat slams into the hull causing Risky to be flung into the massive chamber with the reactor in it, along with the nukes. The nukes go offand destroy the ship causing it to vaporise in its own attempt to leave the system by slipspace. Static erupts from the coms as the debris clear, but as the ship enters slipspace the scanners show a faint life sign in the heart of the explosion, just for one second, the team might not have gone to hell...gone to Reach.
As I'm sure many of you are aware, exams are require much studying and preparation. Unfortunately, said studying and preparation requires your beloved Regenerative Development Taskforce dev. team to sacrifice most of their valuable time to making sure we do well on our respective exams. Maybe some of us will be able to do work, and maybe not. Everybody has different time tables. This should only be a problem for the next week or two, maybe more. If anything changes, we will let you, our beloved fan-base, know immediately.
