This is the error it gives me upon starting Hammer. This is raw and unedited. The reason it is in HL2DM setting is because for now Source '06 is the only one with the Singleplayer option available. OK, it appears to me as if you accidentaly deleted a file containing the information of the wireframe in SDK.You also say that '06 is the only one with a singleplayer option avaliable...WTF is that supposed to mean?
When i go to create a mod, in '09 it only has Edit Half Life 2 Multiplayer and the other choice i can't remember all i remember is in Parenthesis it said for advanced users only. In '06 I can do all 3

Use SDK Tools to create a mod, in the 2006 engine. Then use that version of Hammer.
