These screens are still extremely WIP, but improvements in lighting and textures have been made. Most of the gray tile textures are placeholders until new ones are created. I dont like using Dev textures, and havent figured out why yet.
Lovely.
Two things:
Those pipes(?) on the left side appear to have some sort of liquid inside. The texture isn't aligned properly.
Besides that you need to use smoothing groups on the grey part of them, because the shadows look choppy.
Other than that the scene has no real "problems".
Unimportant side-note: I don't like the lighting, but that applies to most of the screenshots that you've uploaded. I find them way too bright. I'm not bashing you. It's just hard as hell to get proper lighting done with source.
I know the textures are off; they arent seamless yet...the whole thing is a brush meant to give me an idea of what the model will look like when its complete. The model itself will obviously have more detail, but not tons of it.
I dont know if its the screens or Moddb, but its a little darker in game. Kinda quiet looking and calm - until things start happening that is :D
Thanks for the info.
As for the lighting:
I'm talking about that it's not detailed. If you look at the screenshot, you see plenty of lightsources and objects but no shadows that they should cast. I think we both know that proper lighting in Source is a b***h (by proper I mean useful and beautiful).
Besides that lack of shadows, there is the lack of colors. Here you got practically the same situation, but with better lighting:
Moddb.com
Do you see how the orange glowing tubes, make the environment orange?
Your tubes and the computer on the right side should emit colored light too.
I hope you understand what I mean.
