In the beta they used a sound clip from a movie (Aliens) for his scream.

It's nice, but the room transition is weird, Alyx's mouth barely moved, and the video stuttered quite a bit.
Also, the Hydra could really use a new model, this one looks quite blocky and old. (fighting it in the video would have been nice :D)
The stuttering is my fault, Fraps slowed down a bit when the Alyx scene starts and continues throughout the video :(
Alyx looks hotter in that Wetsuit IMO.
See if you can complete the original HL2 storyline before you quit though, and when you do, consider releasing the source code.
There is no single "original" HL2 storyline.
Sorry, but that is incorrect. Read the book "Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar" It even has a chard showing where the original storyline was going to go through.
I've read through it plenty of times, and there are a number of things that they leave out, and that contradict. One example is that sometimes the Borealis is called Hyperborea. One point you were to walk to the boat found frozen in ice by some kind of base, at another it was drifting though the sea and you reach it via tugboat. The list goes on for that one place alone.

Change the soldier so it can have a weapon in his hands, there was a different model in the leak that was made for this part and the weapon would show up
One model was used for this sequence. The same model used for the regular soldier. Combine_Soldier.mdl in the root models directory. I simply forgot the weapon, that's all. Its been fixed, so don't worry about it.
Have you managed to do what valve could not and get the monster to work properly?
the hydra worked properly in the beta, but they decided to kick it out because it was too hard to fight
Yeah, they phrased it this way:
"It was amazingly cool to watch it fight other characters, but it was zero fun to play against in first-person. When it attacked others, as the player you could see this great big glowing giant worm snaking through the map, knocking stuff over and putting on a great show, but when it attacked you, the player, you'd just see this non-descript blob doing something vague, then you'd be dead."
Alyx's lip is out of synch.
i remember playing this on mi at some point, although it wasnt in the new game list, you'd have to access it through the maps * console menu.
That's because you had to play the E3 chapter to play this map
It wasn't even in the sequence of maps in the E3 chapter, though after you finished the map it did load the E3 chapter afterwards.
I love the rifle, I love that Alyx, I love the combine animation and screams, I love the tentacle animation (just dislike the electric blue of it)
