Whenever i see head crabs it reminds me of the paramites from abes odyssey. Also that is a beautiful looking model, you should make it and replacement for the regular head crab on ep2.

Yup, leaked headcrab has some realism. And I think when you make the first episode, there is maybe no need for normal maps but just put this model textured directly in game) Because PC power is growing now significantly.
Valve's model looks like that with the wrinkles but, in valve's it is only in the texture. In that model the wrinkles are actually on the model. I prefer it in the texture though because it wouldn't bring down frame rate as much.

Looks like it is made of rubber.
It's the default Mudbox material, there's no texture applied.

looks like the hl1 head crab.
With that wrinkled look it kind of looks like it's meant to conform to the shape of a host's shoulders!

This is the high poly model, in the end it's just going to be a normal map.
Please tell me its going to have blood/a wound on it like your old headcrabs i loved that no idea why =P
