Based on a real place, this mod for the Source engine
is played on an abandoned industrial complex & school, and some other places i might add.
Explore it freely, with a loose story.

This mod requires "Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer".
It is extremely optimized to monitors with 16:9.

Remember, this mod is mostly about exploring, so don't get stuck in an elevator for five minutes if you don't know what to do, explore the areas for solutions to progress the game.
There are a lot of details, so do check every cranny! Though, not everything has a point.

The gas can be turned off. You'll know what it means when you get there.

The future

This mod is not done in the slightest, there's a lot more stuff to do!

So here's a tiny progress chart:

Phase 1 - Ideas - Done
Initial mapping, storyline & stable releases.

Phase 2 - Immerson - Done
Custom code, hl2 gameplay elements removed.

Phase 3 - Horror - Partially done
Horror elements, creepy sounds, more hidden silhouettes etc.

Phase 4 - Polishing - Very little done
Making everything look pretty, replace models and textures.
Add more cutscenes, add voice acting (someday at least).


All this will of course take time, and it's been more than a year now, gotten pretty far.
To get more source material i have to wait until spring/summer to get the proper textures and sounds, but i might get away with placeholders.

More music will hopefully come alive too, just gotta make up a theme for it.
I work on this almost every day - a couple of hours. With a full time job this really pushes my limits.

But I'm not bored with it yet, so I'll keep going! Hang on for more updates!

Hi Mr Brax,

I did a full playthrough over on my channel. Ultimately I LOVE this game. Only problem is due to an error of my recording software in the last part don't expect to see the ending you'll wish to see, but I do like the ending. Really made me jump.

I'd say though the mod needs more ambient horror to give the player constant dread of that "something" watching over them, lurking in the shadows somewhere, or how you expertly managed to change the environment, make the shadow mess with the player's vision. Seeing something move in the corner of their vision before disappearing. Just a thought.

There's a couple of issues I want to point out and so as not to spoil those who haven't played it I won't list them here (theres only a couple so nothing major to worry about). You can either watch the videos (in 5 parts) or message me direct.

Overall the horror is very much present, excellent use of the environment, very good plot to it. In it's current build I certainly would recommend it to others and hugely encourage them to download it. You say it's not polished which it does show in the odd place or so but other than that I'd easily mistake this for a completed and playable mod. Well done. :D
