The 'Middle Earth Roleplaying Project' aims to recreate J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth in the Creation engine of 'Skyrim'. The player will be plunged into Middle Earth near the end of the Third Age, not long before the War of the Ring breaks out.
Another amazing concept by Chestman.
Amazing :)
Like I imagine small Rohan settlements! :'3
This is actually Angatur, a frontier fort in northern Rohan.
Oh... I mean... well... I just... NEVERMIND!!
nice is this gonna be in the mod cause darn it looks nice with some NPC'S
and you could do like little side quest like sending a letter to an other officer in enemy territory.
This is one of our planned settlements :)
Holy moly...I love this o.o
@nielspoep: Believe me, we have quest ideas tied to this fort ;)
Nice! only one problem, I dont see a Stables anywhere.
they could all be stables.
Actually, I think the upper left and the lower right are the stables, and the other two are the barracks.
I think he refers to 'vanilla Skyrim kinda Stables', ie, outside the cities.
The area in the stables where they keep the horses is supposed to be facing outwards towards the center of the settelment, the only building that you cant see this side is the bottom right one, so this is the only one that could be a stable, or atleast thats how I see it.
The top left and bottom right buildings are both stables. There are two patrols stationed here, one stays in one barracks with their horses in one stable, the other uses the other barracks and stables. Each acts as a garrison when the other is out on partrol. When the one returns the other leaves and they swap places, with the returning one acting as garrison and guards for the fortress. And if you noticed, the entrances to all the buildings face towards the center of the settlement roughly.
It does have a lot of stables ;) Just bigger ones than skyrim!
epic, can't wait to see this ingame ;)
this is amazing work guys!!!! and im so happy that you finally posted a new picture:D
Whoever that is that does your art is a talented artist. Can't wait to see that camp in game :)
God I love it! The Rohan release can't come sooner!
yay finally a new picture :D
Is this the fortress that i asked earlier? That one near Fangorn, but this place dont look like Fangorn...
No, it is located in northern Rohan between the bend in the Entwash and the western edge of the Emyn Muil.
looks like a easy raid for the orcs
The fortress is designed as a support and base of operations for the mounted patrols, not a great stronghold. It is meant to prevent easy passage into Rohan from the north.
It's amazing! :D
mmmmm... nerdgasm...
Amazing concept, just like i imagined Rohan's fortresses. ;)
First reaction: In game!?
Second reaction: Medieval 2, Total war!
Third: You can't mess Merp up with those concepts!
You should so do an in-game shot (when this is complete of course) from the exact same angle as this concept art :P It would be interesting to see how much changes and how much stays the same from concept to in-game.
Amazing! Keep it up guys!
Well I hope someone sees this. It looks amazing. I might add earthworks at the base (with spikes) and put it on a hill or large rock. The tower should look less leggy and the walls asymmetrical. It might actually work to plan a Rohan city by taking a Protist and looking at it top down then deciding what all the shapes actually are...
Stop working on this mod!! You're going to kill someone with your awesomeness, so stop before it's too late!
no.... its too late... there past the point of no return...
besides, they are going to kill far more if they don't continue with the mod, 1 dead or a hundred-thousand, easy choice :P
its so awesome
