A large-scale graphical and gameplay overhaul of Jedi Academy. Medium of Darkness features brand new content including alterations to weapons, powers and even movement mechanics. Medium of Darkness began as solely a graphical mod, however has since become a testbed for developing new coding skills. MoD will eventually be broken down and divided into a series of gameplay altering mods, each with unique content. The non-gameplay altering sections will also be released separately so that players can experience the graphical changes with JKA's gameplay. Medium of Darkness will be divided into two major sections: One set inside the Star Wars universe, and one with a fantasy theme. Each section will contain different sets of content from MoD.
Lightning Bolt is a core ability of the Destroyer class, and is immediately available without spending any points in either power set. This power creates an instantaneous, short range jolt of electricity which does minimal damage and lasts only a fraction of a second, however the Lightning Bolt costs very little energy and can be fired repeatedly in a short space of time.
All lightning effects have been overhauled from JKA's base effects. The Lightning Bolt for example, features a new trace function which allows for various different impact effects and a "line" (The bolt itself) which reacts properly to the range of the attack. All of the lightning-based abilities, as well as a few others, change colour depending on the team of the caster. The caster in this image belongs to the red team, while a blue team caster would project a blue bolt.
