Will you be a living legend or a forgotten casualty? MechWarrior:Living Legends (MWLL) is a total conversion modification for Crysis, MWLL is at its very core a mix between First Person Shooter and Simulation. This will be achieved through the use of a mixed arms massively multiplayer gaming experience where the player takes part in a battle using a variety of vehicles and weapons MWLL is using the concepts pioneered by the “Battlefield” franchise and more recently Crysis, of a sandbox feel where you get to play what you want and how you want it. MWLL depicts the epic struggles between the two factions of Battletech “The Clans” and “The Inner Sphere” In the project we will be bringing some of the legends of MechWarrior back to life.

The jumpjets are very bold and WIP. Why not the old jumpjets.

Looks.. not quite good. Not bad, just medicore, and compared to mechs/vechicles/maps/other effects those are rather crappy.
I think they look fine.
Look it's a pen! Or a glass sculpture .. No wait, it's .. jumpjet effects?
Glassy - that's the word I'm looking for. They need to be... well, "less perfect," if you get what I'm trying to say.
Don't worry, this is definatly something that looks better in motion. I thought the same looking at the pic but in motion it's more natural looking, like a burst of flames.
I can imagine that it'd look nice in a cough cough playtest video.
Don't expect one of those again too soon as we've had one just recently.
Then could you just vie us a short video of jump jets firing at least?
They look realistic to me.
the problem is, if you look at any sort of rocket booster, the fire coming out of it looks nothing like that. it isnt a perfect ellipsoid shaped plume, it is, well, think of it like someones hair hanging, and moving around. it isnt perfect, it moves around and such, but does have sort of a defined shape. but this shape is almost constantly being warped by the forces around us.
while the jets are not perfect, they are not so far from reality as you guys make them seem... Youtube.com nuff said =P
I think it looks quite cool really. It's a bit anime style in it's perfect shape but I suppose mechs came from Japan...
