The Maelstrom Mod introduces four new races to the Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion Universe. They are independent of the original races and have unique strengths and weaknesses. Maelstrom is available for Rebellion, Diplomacy, Entrenchment and Original Sins.

well that seemed to work, looks like I hit the ram limit, but on another note your pirates, the (npc version) wow. I was in a game not long started, when an ai put a bounty on me of 250 credits. so what about 6 ships to invade me, that's nothing, but I was horribly wrong, it was brutal. I was only on a medium map so I was only 5 stars away from there base, and by the time they arrived they had a force that nothing could stop, my upgraded starbase lasted about 6 seconds along with my titan and fleets of ships. my hopes and dreams of becoming a ruthless ruler of the galaxys was very short lived, this is my opinion but do you not think the pirates are a little over-powered lol

Is this mod Multiplayer compatible? My friend and I are having a problem where we get a red text in the middle of the screen. About that there is a sync error of some kind, two files not matching. "player.themes" I think.

Hey there, Great Mod! Been following since Entrenchment was released.
Issue: I know the pirates are a preview, but they are currently unable to colonize Greenhouse, Oceanic, Iron/Ferric planet types, the research subject is not in their tech tree. Thanks for sharing your Mod with us all!

thanks but I've checked and i only have this problem when I play maelstrom. I get the minidump errors every once in a while but with maelstrom i get consistent CTD with no notifications in or out of the game. Anyone have any suggestions.

I always get crash minidump, when playing TEC Rebel, my ram 8Gb, windows 7 64bit, already patch the SOASE *.exe with 4gb patch included with the mod zip. Already set the all grephic to medium, anti alisasing disabled, etc..
but still get minidump, memory usage on task manager was arround 1,2 - 1,3GB..
Anyone get the same as me?

Hello, i rly love ur mod ^^. But when playing as the pirates game begin crush after 10-15 min... im turning down the graphics effects to low. And game still crush (
Hm seems i find problem. Game crush after 15-20 minutes of play, then i increase speed in game x2.

Seems like a RAM problem (i.e graphics effects).
Also I believe there is a problem/bug with the flagship victory option - turn it off
I never use this option.
Now i know why game crash. When some1 begin use superweapons. How i can disable them? I find some mods but they old and not workin =\

I have minidump after 20-30 min. All settings like recommended. I'm not using increased speed. All kinds of victory is turned off. Game in steam.

Also with the pirate faction ... they seem to have problems with the flagship victory and super weapons - which I am in the process of verification and fixing.
I Tried set all settings to low it's not helped. Flagship victory disabled. 20-30 min from start playing, i think they don't have super weapons. Game crashing when I reading some description of flagship or some structures.
What are the specs on your PC (OS, RAM, GPU).

any idea why my capital ships RAM other ships ? it is on full speed, ram target, them run away and turn again to face a target.

They are not ramming other ships ... their flight behavior is different from the other factions, more like strikecraft
i cannot construct titan foundry for alliance loyalists and advent race doesn't have giant planet exploration research. Pls help using sugested version on suggested settings.
