The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

And once again... Why AK-47? As a russian, I'm asking you - why this goddamn AK-47?! Why not AKM? Which is a lot better, a modified version with a lot better ballistics? Which is more beautiful, finally?
By the way... Is this wonderful Kobra gonna be attachable, not integrated?

Kobra's gonna be an attachment.

There's already an AKM in the game as well :P

Yeah, I have to admit I hated that some things in the STALKER games are integrated and not just attachments. Are F2000/G36/L85 ironsights a possibility/feature?

F2000 isn't doable, sorry. (it's because of the integrated scope) :(

L85/G36 we'll have to see. It's possible, but the scopes would have to be attachments instead of inbuilt ones.

I don't really mess with the functionality anyways so I wouldn't know, I just make models and textures :P

Alright, well, thanks for the consideration. For F2000 ironsights you'd probably have to make a whole new weapon, right? Probably not worth the work. You're already doing so much, I can't wait. ^^

Cant you cut out the vanilla f2000 out of the game and replace it with a proper F2000? Or just ad a proper F2000

The F2000 with iron sights(in reality) is a different model. The one in-game is not that model. The G#6 in the game is a G36K, which doesn't have any rails for attachments. But maybe he added the G36C which does?

Isn't one of the difference between the AK47 and the AKM/AK74 that the AK47 is "missing" the ... thing on the side, which allows the mount for scopes to slide on?

No. Not all AKMs/AKMSes and AK-74 variants have scope rails. The AKMN and AKML had scope rails, as did the AKS-74N and AKS-74UN.

All that technobullshit aside, this is the Zone. Who's to say the scope rail wasn't added after-the-fact? From a realism standpoint, people in the Zone don't often get shiny new equipment, so they make do with what they have. Adding a scope rail to an existing non-railed receiver is as simple as putting a few rivets (or it can be done with screws) in, after making sure the damn thing is straight, of course.
