The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

Hello, I've been recently trying to get L.U.R.K. to work, with little success so far. After installing the mod, and starting the game through the shortcut (-nointro -noprefetch parameters on), the game seem to start, just to crash seconds later with the windows message XR_3DA has stopped working. My installation order is the following: 1)stalker I followed the installation instructions religiously, editing the fsgame file to read true and adding the -noprefetch parameter to the XR_3DA shortcut and use that to start the game. Also, I've tried to use no optionals at all, thinking those could be the casue of the issue, but that was not the case. At this point, I admit I have little to no idea on what the cause could be. Needless to say, if I remove the mod and start the game "clean" it works. Anyone could point me out to a possible solution? the threads I came up with the search did not help me. Thanks in advance. Hello again, |

In my experience playing on the xray engine, it's prone to crashes whenever it encounters a small problem. If you're willing, re-install your OS. It worked for me on XP pro. I don't know what the language would conflict but if you wanna give it a try go for it. |
