I was always wanting to get this mod since the official alpha release was buggy to play.

But now you have slapped down a definite placement on my hard drive with Tetris alone. Good job!

This mod is looking better and better, but I am starting to wonder at its size! You guys are practically rebuilding the game! So I have to ask, at this current point, how much space does LA occupy?

currently 5.4gb unpacked... i havent packed it yet, but it will be around 2 or 2.5 if we use the db packing method, as gsc did too. please note, this is not texture pack mod, which can also be around 2-3gb, we wont add any unnecessary textures, only the needed ones. this way anyone can add his own texture pack, or favorite textures, also helps to reduce size with 2-3gb. i have a separate build of lost alpha, which does not need the game to be installed, its built up on 2947 build... and its around 8gb, because i had to add all textures from soc, and other crappy files. :)

we cant release LA as a separate game, no matter if we use an old build for that. Its the rules... and we are sticking to it, because we respect GSC.

Just a question : Will the other STALKERs in the zone be competing against the player like what was originally envisaged?

the Tetris game engine sucks a bit, the blocks should not fall down completely when hitting DOWN, they should just fall faster, and be able to be moved sideways before they glue themselves down.
(hope you understand my bad english)

Description

This shows the new pda device which was created for Lost Alpha project. Some people said we probably photoshopped our images, because of the pda chat, so we recorded this video to show we are not making fake things. We did not talk about such features yet, because our policy was: not to talk about something, which is not yet finished/tested.

Please note: this video was recorded with vanilla SoC. We always test such features in SoC, not LA. Thanks for your understanding.
