I can feel that cold breath of this unpleasent night.
I hear rain, as it's drops are constantly creating wall of noice, making very difficult for me to hear an hidden enemy, or even anomaly. That sound is in fact calming, but thats last thing that I need. Loosing edge for few seconds can be deadly mistake in zone.
I continue down the road, but staying on specular surfice would make me easy target, because wet concrete, makes anyone easlely vissible even when is quite dark. I choose to follow the road trought rough terrain. I wanna keep my chance to stay hidden In case I need to dissapear from eyes of enemy.
My BM16 is so cold in my hands, I see monser in every shadow.
Adrenalin is pumping trought my vains. I totally Ignore raindrops running across my face. I kinda feel, like some evil entity my self, hidding in the dark, ready to kill.
Maybe thats what zone makes from us, making us be what we desire deep inside.
When we are getting closer and closer to the center zone, it would be nice if the rain came down a little bit radioactive gradually becoming more dangerous to the approaching stancia ? :)
looks very atmospheric, nowhere used the letters with "pripyat" on them :) good idea, you're keeps atmosphere of "old and forgotten stalker" so good in difference of other mod teams. hold it further ;)
A lonely stalker... A rain... And a long road of the whole future life, life, full of freedom and real happiness. Instead of a lot of dangers, that wait for you in the Zone, in this great world of stalkers you can find yourslf, and finally understand, what real man is. Stalker... It's a soul. The best human soul.
This is amazing, Dezodor. Thank you so much for big love of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. This is not a modification, this is a homage. Once again - thanks. May the Zone protect you, brothers.
CzechDeath, man, you're a writer!
I guess this is really what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is about (I mean games and books both) - when you don't know what to expect from the outer world AS WELL AS from your own inner world...
When the Zone makes you some killing machine, some creature, whose experience made it light-speed reacting to any external (and internal) stimuli, only thinking afterwards. When people stop recognizing you from the first sight and there is only faint resemblance of what you were before. When monsters see you only after you aimed your weapon at them and shot. Or when you STALKED to them to make them fall your prey...
I mean - surviving THAT MUCH rough Zone as it's shown on this image would surely make anyone an "ideal" stalker, pretty much the same as the one depicted in most of the books.
And may I say that a rare screenshot can give impression of a well-written book ;)
I was walking in the rain for hours, then finally reached the city. Hopefully I will find an empty building, where i can set up a camp and dry my clothes...
Awsome. What do those letters say?
Pripyat
Pripyat' [I think]
This is static lighting correct? It looks like it, but.. I cant tell. Never good at it.

Yes it means "Pripyat"...but daaaaamn this looks so atmospheric!
it feels like you would search the city for days and finally arrived :)
The description of the photo gives a great atmospheric boost!
So cool to see uncharted territory.

It certainly looks scary, and that's a hell of a long road.
