@ boredgunner: The Italian translation has begun since a few months, but there is still something to translate and a lot to test.

@ [TZP]LoNer1: FOV 70, thanks guys!

cool I wanna fov 54 (most realistic according of Valve art director fov 54 corespondes to fov of human eye as close as it is possible to display it on flat surfrace - that is why most game devs are taking ingame screensthost more zoomed than in game camera) BUT 70-75 is best compromise between practical use (space awarness) and realistic fov (lack of fish eye)

Metro for exp have 45 which is too zoomed, and some situations are pretty chaotic thanx to it=)

Also during play of old STALKER shoc, I found out that lower fov = higher FPS, which after 5-6 years is no longer issue. but still =) LA maight be new level of rig requirements =)

Frankly, it depends on your monitor size and how close you sit (closer, bigger screen = bigger FOV)

And of course bigger FOV = more object visible = more power required.

I'd like to buy an HD 1280x720 projector and project LA to a wall. And then I'll be "AWWWW YEAAAAH! guy :D
Forums.kleientertainment.com
That way I have "large screen" and don't have problems with large monitor/TV :]

Yes for exp this kind of monitor could display very high number of fov without looking strange.

I bet it's way too expensive, while a projector is pretty small, cheaper than plasma TV (there even are 3D 1280x720 projectors for less than 1000$) and can make large picture (7 meters 8-D). Plus the picture will be far from eyes - less harmful for seeing :)
