Life’s End is a Half-Life 1 mod I released in 2005. I’ve made this page for it now because some one else tried to take credit for my creation, and I want it clear that I am the guy behind it. Thanks to all those who stood up for me! Life’s End was my first release and quite a learning experience. It looks a little crude, and I’ve improved a hundredfold since then, but I’m still immensely proud of it ;-) In Life’s End you play as Luther Johnson, late to work on what will be the worst day of your life - because Luther works at Black Mesa. And it’s the day Gordon Freeman’s experiment goes wrong… You’ll visit new and familiar areas of Black Mesa, and go far beyond.

The mod is pretty decent, the same mapping looks too clumsy than it is now
I hope fans make a remake of Black Mesa: Source in the future
And so I'm waiting for the sequel to Time's End, this should be the best mod ever

This mod is kinda compatible with Xash3D + Brutal Half-Life (BHL beta 2 is much more stable on Xash3D than on GoldSource). Reasons why its kinda compatible are:
- Goofy floating arms/heads/syringes of scientists (I think it happens, because BHL have two models of scientists: scientist.mdl and scientist_extra.mdl, and they are merged with a magic of scripts. Since Life`s End is not meant to be played with BHL, some stuff like teleporting does not affect scientist_extra.mdl)
- "Alive corpses" (probably it happens, because bodygroups of original Half-Life NPCs that were selected in their properties in Hammer are not matching with BHL bodygroups)
- Stutters and crashes during a very big explosion (BHL bug. Somehow, my game didn`t crashed after reloading a save with Half-Trek end, where enemy space ship is exploding, but unfortunately that trick does not works with other big explosions)
- Crashes at the end of cutscenes in last levels (probably a Xash3D related bug. Or a BHL related, idk).

Nonetheless, it`s still a fun mod (even with using "sv_cheats 1", "map/changelevel" and "give" console commands). Although, I didn`t liked a reuse of the same songs on different levels (for except: Nepal Monastery, I think that song fits with all moments where that song appeared. Like, come on, there`s more songs than Space Ocean and Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar).
