Life’s End is a Half-Life 1 mod I released in 2005. I’ve made this page for it now because some one else tried to take credit for my creation, and I want it clear that I am the guy behind it. Thanks to all those who stood up for me! Life’s End was my first release and quite a learning experience. It looks a little crude, and I’ve improved a hundredfold since then, but I’m still immensely proud of it ;-) In Life’s End you play as Luther Johnson, late to work on what will be the worst day of your life - because Luther works at Black Mesa. And it’s the day Gordon Freeman’s experiment goes wrong… You’ll visit new and familiar areas of Black Mesa, and go far beyond.

Don't know - he vanished almost immediately. I have no idea why his page is still there. I've sent PM's, others have complained... LOL.

Do you think you could put my name in the credits at the end of the mod? After all, I helped you fix the bad spelling!

Example: Half-Life123 "Johnathon Davies" for the idea of fixing all the spelling/grammar errors

I've already thanked you on the spelling fix download page.

Please stop adding downloads to my page. If you've got to cut and paste files once you've used the installer, it's no different from cutting and pasting the files from my original zip.

I get that you're enthusiastic, but perhaps your energy would be better spent making your own mod.

You're right. The spelling is good enough. But I've rewritten some lines because I live in the U.S. I'll upload my copy of the file and give me some feedback. Just look for Life's End U.S. mod.

No. You can make whatever changes you want to your personal version of the mod, but I don't want you clogging up my downloads page with unnecessary files.
I'm also taking down the installer you put up, because it doesn't work with the Steam version of Half-Life while the original zip works happily with both. I appreciate the effort you've put in, but I'm getting confused PM's from people who don't know which version to download. Sorry.

There should be an exclamation point after They're watching you

Urbanebula's right: "Apologise" is an accepted spelling of "aplologize" in the UK. And there was never supposed to be an exclamation mark after "They're watching you."

Half-Life123, I know you mean well, but I think the spelling is good enough as it is. It's not perfect, but neither's the mod.

Does it really matter?

Also, don't assume apologise is spelled incorrectly. The creator of this fine mod is British.

It's always nice to see a perfect mod out there. And this is one of them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. The game has its own new character, set during the incident at black mesa. It's fun to see G-Man and Gordon Freeman pop-up in the story once in a while. And the story has a nice twist in the end. The fighting is nice and balanced. The maps are easy to navigate and not too big and maze-like. The puzzles are simple and not to difficult (usually it's just a 'go fetch this' quest). The…
