Greetings!

I would like to announce an updated demo is now available to download. Instead for separate demos like before, you can now play Chapter 1 through 4 in a one playthrough. It also features some new additions and some changes made for the 25th Anniversary update of Half-Life.

You can see a bit more of the specific changes in the file's description. If you find a game-breaking bug, report me in DM and i'll gonna fix asap.

All these screenshots are work in progress and Chapter 5 still needs polishing and balancing, so keep that in mind. Hopefully not soon the chapter will be ready for a new demo and start working on the final chapter. Leave your feedback about the new demo and i'll see again next time.

An excellent mod that keeps the spirit of what makes Half-Life into Half-Life.
Good variation of maps that keep you engaged. My only comment would be that there are many 1 too many electrical boxes to turn on :D

I gave me rockets with the console, continued playing, and I just finished it now.

This mod is AMAZING! It has that classic Half-Life feel and everything is just so much fun about the gameplay, and the level design is nice. I like how it ties logically with the HL storyline and I love how the references to other HL games aren't just dumb fanservice added for no reason, but they're actually implemented well. (I loved the detail of the green light flash of Barney teleporting in the storage room when you watch Gordon being dragged away).

All in all, I'm HYPED to see where you take this in future chapters, to see how you tie it with the events of Surface Tension and, now that we're reaching this point of the timeline, maybe we'll get a peek at Adrian's adventure in Opposing Force? ;)

Real good, and excited for more. Keep going, friend! :)

This is a very very professional work. How unafortunate that this masterpiece is a little overshadowed by the LD models that feel a bit "out of place" into such well made enviroments. Would you consider to make an HD pack for your mod?

Maybe when the mod is finished, because a lot of animations are required for map scripts and probably would take some time porting it.

Oh thank you man! I must say i started enjoying your mod since the minute 0 because it FEELS like a real classic Half-Life experience. I'll say again that maps design and classic vibes of each environment are impeccably implemented, so thank you so much for making this awesome work!

Did you happen to hire an animator? Unless you just mean your reusing animations from the expansions

Nope, i've just tweaked the base animations/reuse the expansion's ones. The thing is, i would have to decompile the models and insert those tweaked animations, and the model decompiler for some reason, shifts the UV mapping and the model ends up looking really bad. So i would have to open my model editor and move a tiny bit the UV map which is a bit tedious.

Dude, don't ever use the default studiomdl.exe that comes with the Half - Life SDK nor the decompiler. They are pretty bad.

Go to Steam and download the Sven Co-Op studiomdl and then for decompiling use Crowbar.

For model viewing, use Half - Life: Asset Manager.

All of these are the most up-to date HL1 modelling tools.
