Life’s End is a Half-Life 1 mod I released in 2005. I’ve made this page for it now because some one else tried to take credit for my creation, and I want it clear that I am the guy behind it. Thanks to all those who stood up for me! Life’s End was my first release and quite a learning experience. It looks a little crude, and I’ve improved a hundredfold since then, but I’m still immensely proud of it ;-) In Life’s End you play as Luther Johnson, late to work on what will be the worst day of your life - because Luther works at Black Mesa. And it’s the day Gordon Freeman’s experiment goes wrong… You’ll visit new and familiar areas of Black Mesa, and go far beyond.

Maybe you need to patch your version of Half-Life? Life's End was made using version 1.1.1.0, which can be found here: Halflife2.filefront.com (Don't use it if you're using the Steam version of Half-Life! - it works on Steam too, albiet with a few little bugs)

Otherwise I have no idea. No-one else has contacted me with this problem.

Good luck.

Hay man cool mod loved the story and gameplay i only have a few suggestions which for me is very few.
1. It would be much cooler if it had a custome title screen not just the
default one.
2. lack of voice acting was a big problem for me particularly in the
scene when you get fired also i don't like it how it went into 3rd
person view at that point.
3. There were a few glitches like enemies ignoring scientists/
guards a lot of the time and if anything dyed in a door the door
would get stuck and make a really loud and annoying noise that would
not stop until the game loaded the next map. Plus those big sea
creators can fly as well as swim.
