Vitrification-class Heavy Destroyer image - Legacy Era: Second Imperial Civil War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Our goal is to bring into focus the Legacy Era, but more specifically the Second Imperial Civil War. Play as either the tyrannical Krayt Empire, freedom-seeking Galactic Alliance Remnant or the obscure Confederation Revenant.
Today we have our vocabulary lessons with the noun Vitrification, which means: Changing or making into glass or a glassy substance, especially through heat fusion. Now that should say something about what this ship does-it can bombard a world's surface to glass.
This is the heaviest warship in the Confederate Navy, available at level 5-but not in the galaxy. Nonetheless, it is still immensely powerful; its vast array of 4 quad proton turrets, 5 quad disruptor turrets, 6 heavy quad plasma turrets, 8 heavy plasma mortars, and 6 heavy disruptor torpedo launchers can devastate many a foe. For close anti-fighter defense there are 4 PD plasma cannons, but its most powerful weapons are the two proton beam projectors. They are more advanced than those on the Duplicity Battle Carrier, and can cause massive damage to enemy vessels caught in their long range. To complement its impressive armament it carries 3 squadrons of Davaab and Phoebos Interceptors and YT-7200 Bombers, and 2 squadrons of Bes'uliik Bombers and Eta-7 Assault Craft.
Be wary when facing this ship in battle, I hope you have an Imperious Star Destroyer or Nemesis Dreadnaught on hand...

And now that I think about, I never showed the armament for the Imperious or the Alliance's equalivalent vessel.
And sorry if it seems a little dark/hard to see, the lighting was being rebellious today.
With weapons and a name like that, it almosts sounds like a Covenant ship from Halo.
