I didn't fair too well against the medium AI.
Looks like I need to dumb down the AI... or I am just bad at my own game. This was from a skirmish battle against a medium AI, and it didn't even build any asteroid mines.
No asteroid mines and it did all that damage?
Reminds me of Erwin Rommel, low on funds (in this case fuel for his armored divisions) and still gave the Allies a helluva time when he pulled out of Africa in World War II even winning a few battles on the side.
Just goes to show what wonders tactics can do for a Commander. No matter how outmatched he or she may seem.
Idk, some prefer the challenge. A good soldier is always pushing them self to the limit in armed conflict. It's how he or she stays at the top of their game.

True, although until your in an actual conflict again, it's difficult to find the resolve to do so. Troops at times need the proper motivation. In peacetime, their minds are focused elsewhere typically.
Which is why Commander's need to find that motivation and the troops alike. No matter where they are stationed, no matter how unlikely an attack will approach, should always keep pushing themselves and their comrades to the limit.

I have a question where are all the ground troops at or are they in the patch?
This mod looks great BUt not very fun the AI in skirmish and galactic conquest just sits there and does nothing at all. It's not fun if they don't fight back.
I haven't run into any issues like that with the currently released mod. The AI is actually pretty tough to beat. I haven't tried Galactic conquest since the last release though but the skirmish works great.
I believe Cheese is working on the AI they are a pain to code btw.
The galactic conquest in the currently available version is not fully finished and is to be considered a beta if anything.

My only issues when fighting the AI is they like to build tons of frigates and I'm a capital ship kind of guy so I don't like spending all my money on frigates but if you don't you get overwhelmed. My trick is always play two on two and let your computer friend build all the frigates to keep them at a stalemate which allows me to build the capitals I want. My favorite tactic as the Empire is to get a good battle going in the center then drop a Dragon right next to their base which gets them every time. Works against Hard AI too.
Yes, the AI loves frigates a lot. Not sure what I did to make that happen.
Personally I'm both sorta I love to build a lot of frigates and then focus all my fire power with a couple of capitals its like a real fleet using real bait and run tactics. Its fun plus I love a lot of the frigates designs and many can do crazy damage but I gotta say I do love me some Pellaleons and SSDs baby. My Ideal fleet is 1 or 2 SSDs around 3-4 battlecruisers about 10 maybe 15 SDs Pellaleons in this case with a few ISDs for flanking with those beautiful IONs and then about 40 frigates 25 AA ships several carriers... Basically going with SW size fleets... its a little op in EAW lol
I was running RAW along with this mod and I think it screwed up the AI, im probably gonna have to reinstall the game to be sure. They just sat there in the base and did nothing which is exactly what the RAW AI does. I don't think the AI is too bad as it is when it was working, I can beat the medium difficulty in skirmish if I make a decent effort. You have to be quick about what your doing or the enemy will overwhelm you.
