Our goal is to bring into focus the Legacy Era, but more specifically the Second Imperial Civil War. Play as either the tyrannical Krayt Empire, freedom-seeking Galactic Alliance Remnant or the obscure Confederation Revenant.
Bump maps ftw.
Ryloth is the harsh, rocky homeworld of the Twi'leks, an Outer Rim Territories world located on the Corellian Run and forming one endpoint of the Death Wind Corridor. One side of the planet perpetually faces its sun and the other remains in darkness, a phenomenon known as tidal locking. The dayside is referred to as the Bright Lands and the night-side was known as the Nightlands. It is a planet of extremes: dry, rocky landscapes of deserts, mountain ranges with mist-covered peaks, shadowy valleys, alternating with snowy wastes, joined by lush temperate bands which concentrat much of its population. Along the narrow strip of land between the two lay a thin habitable border, a twilight realm between the two extremes, where the series of caverns some of the Twi'leks decided to build their underground cities are located.
Ryloth has long been opposed to Imperials since Darth Sidious' reign. It has always stood as an ally to the various forms of the Rebellion as it became the New Republic and now the GA Remnant. While it is not much, there is a slight income boost from the mining of the spice Ryll, substance mostly used for its medicinal capabilities. Additionally, its ground base is hidden from sensors due to intense weather phenomena and underground caverns.
sweet!
looking very good
very cool. Maybe add some city lights along the habitable zone.
Don't forget to take out the animation to stop it from rotating.
the texture should have an alpha channel with lights running only along the "in-between" zones.
Cheeze, if they are not showing up with how you placed the planet model with lighting, this can be corrected by adjusting the Alpha Layer of the texture in Photoshop.
Let me know if you need help
Good point, thanks.
God when i first saw that picture without my contacts in i thought to myself "What is the BC304 from Stargate doing in the Legacy mod?" then i looked closer.
