Dac image - Legacy Era: Second Imperial Civil War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Our goal is to bring into focus the Legacy Era, but more specifically the Second Imperial Civil War. Play as either the tyrannical Krayt Empire, freedom-seeking Galactic Alliance Remnant or the obscure Confederation Revenant.
So, here is the new texture/model for the planet Dac (Mon Calamari).
I'm going to do something new here, a sort of "showcase" of all these textures made by Burnstrobe. Over the next few weeks I plan to post an image of at least one new planet texture here to Moddb, along with some info on how it fits in with the mod's time period. So to start things off, here's Dac.
After the Sith-Imperial War, Dac was once again under Imperial control. In an attempt to destroy Gar Stazi and the Galactic Alliance Remnant, who the Calamari supported in secret, Admiral Dru Valan laid a trap at Mon Calamari by leaking information about the Imperious, which was under construction at the Mon Calamari Shipyards. The resulting battle resulted in the destruction of more than half of the Shipyards.
Krayt then put into execution the Final Protocol, a genocidal campaign against the Mon Calamari. Stazi and Roan Fel coordinated a rescue operation, and the planet continued to be a hotspot for conflict.
The nebula was originally made by Casperium, and I edited it to work in-game.

It's kind of hard to see, but it's high quality stuff. You don't think I would put low quality stuff in, do you? Actually... don't answer that ;)
You know I was going to suggest a few months ago that you should get a new Mon Cali/Dac planet model that would make it look like Kuat. It's too bad there isn't a way to make that ring into real shipyards.
You know I'm still confused becuase from what I read on Wookieepedia, they almost made it sound like the Mon Cal are extinct.
No extinct. Several billion were evacuated from the planet. WAY more than enough for a species to continue but still only a tiny percentage of the overall population.
it's very good, maybe you could get the orbiting shipyards to look more like Citadel Station from KotOR 2. would be a very interesting looking planet...lol. IT looks great Cheesecake, keep up the good work.
Too bad that the rings are not directly in the map like on the concept art "Executor Executes" (http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/6/62/Excutorexecutes.jpg) or like in the concepts of Ryan Church (http://www.ryanchurch.com/picture/ringpov.jpg?pictureId=7800386&asGalleryImage=true). Anyway, this would be difficult to make I think.

reduced construction time for all ships; price reduction for all GA Remnant ships
You have the texture for the planet? I'm interested in using it for a 3d render.
