Issues - Final Release
Dec 03, 2006 Full Version 0 commentsThis is the final Release of "Issues" -------------------------------------------- Unzip the folder, and place in your Half-Life Directory...
First came the resounding success that was Project Quantum Leap. Then there was PQL2: The Next Project, but it was carried off by raiders from Xen and never seen again. Some of us escaped though, and now we bring you ISSUES.
Like its predecessors, the idea behind Issues is to collect maps created by many different individuals into a single incoherent map pack. Unlike the PQL, however, we have decided to loosely bind these maps up in a story - of which only some of the maps will be a part, so it will still be pretty incoherent.
Our core team will be making the story related elements, but we need you, the members of the mapping community, to help us by contributing your maps to Issues.
We are looking for single-player maps of any theme, any setting, any content (with a few common sense restrictions). The main requirement is that the map must run under Spirit of Half-Life version 1.0 - although you don't necessarily need to make use of Spirit's features. Complete submission instructions and rules are viewable on the submit part of the page.
Deadline for map submissions is September 1, 2003, with a release date planned for sometime in the Fall.
If you're new to mapping, or just don't have time to create a full blown map pack of your own, this is a terrific opportunity to get a sample of your work published.
Since it is done, you can download it here!
We're sorry, but no images, videos or audio files have been added to this gallery.

- Powered by Spirit of Half-Life 1.2
- Non-linear mission structure
- New graphics, textures, sounds, and models

Anyway, I'm glad you've enjoyed what you've played so far in Issues.
You're not the only one to get stuck in Badass' lift - that's been one of the most common questions we've been getting from players. Here's how it works:
Take the lift down. When it stops (with the door partly open), open the ceiling grate (jump and hit the "use" key - it may take a couple of attempts). When you get it open you will be able to use the open grate like a ladder and climb up and on top of the lift. Look around and you will find a restart button for the lift. The lift will then proceed to the botom of the shaft and you can continue.
There is a walkthrough for Badass (and several of the other maps) found in the Readme Files folder. Also, the website is back up now, and the forum is available again (Our host - ArbronI's brother - occasionally takes his server down without warning, but usually only for a few hours).

I'm on the level after the 4 section with greem-red light and after I go back on the light ball... I arrive somewhere it was an amurerie and life-savety pack. After a long corridor and something like a gate, I'm arrive in a dorm with 3 soldat and a lift. When I take the light, I arrive downstair but the lift's door are not really open and I don't find any way to go away (the lift are stop).
