Issues - Final Release
Dec 03, 2006 Full Version 0 commentsThis is the final Release of "Issues" -------------------------------------------- Unzip the folder, and place in your Half-Life Directory...
First came the resounding success that was Project Quantum Leap. Then there was PQL2: The Next Project, but it was carried off by raiders from Xen and never seen again. Some of us escaped though, and now we bring you ISSUES.
Like its predecessors, the idea behind Issues is to collect maps created by many different individuals into a single incoherent map pack. Unlike the PQL, however, we have decided to loosely bind these maps up in a story - of which only some of the maps will be a part, so it will still be pretty incoherent.
Our core team will be making the story related elements, but we need you, the members of the mapping community, to help us by contributing your maps to Issues.
We are looking for single-player maps of any theme, any setting, any content (with a few common sense restrictions). The main requirement is that the map must run under Spirit of Half-Life version 1.0 - although you don't necessarily need to make use of Spirit's features. Complete submission instructions and rules are viewable on the submit part of the page.
Deadline for map submissions is September 1, 2003, with a release date planned for sometime in the Fall.
If you're new to mapping, or just don't have time to create a full blown map pack of your own, this is a terrific opportunity to get a sample of your work published.
Since it is done, you can download it here!
We're sorry, but no images, videos or audio files have been added to this gallery.

As for the military room you're referring to, it was intended to be a 3-level set, but as you can see it's only one due to lack of time by the mapper, so the combat segments were rather hastily put together.
You should find the missing doctor at the end of LostTime. That would be the level entered from the second hub by pressing the left-most button. It won't activate though untill you visit the other 3 levels on that hub.
HughBear, Thanks for the advice. That is not where I was stuck. It was the beginning of the game where you first get your HEV suit. THe problem was that the suit would not get on Gordon, so I could not go past the door. I reset the game and then it worked. I did love that board with the flood, i used the air tanks. It was kinda mean writing "Do NOt Shoot " on them you know once a player sees do not shoot....they shoot. I did not understand the board where I was in a military dorm..what was the purpose? Is seemed lacking action. I did like the level design. One last thing, is the mod unfinished? Where is the Doctor I was looking for?
Warbux, when you start drowning, use the air tanks with your use key. Don't shoot them. :)
Why can't I get past the decontamination room. I walk through one door the water starts , then i am stuck in there. I hope there is a solution.
It's done!
