In Development is a journey through a developer's thoughts. You will go through game concepts, both complete and barely started, while seeing the developer's dreams and nightmares. Game flow is like the stream of consciousness, if a developer gets off track with his thinking, you will see it and experience it.
This mod is not about a bunch of gunfights and explosions. There will be enemies to kill and bosses to fight, but it's not the main part of the gameplay. Rather, it's about confusion and clarity, order and chaos.
Game levels are divided into two types, games and thoughts. Games are linear and stereo-typical, while thoughts are confusing and indirect.
Along with the weapons available in the current game, you get access to Debug weapons, which are coding utilities in weapon form. Comments, Breakpoints, and Step Over are just a few of the weapons that you will use.
In terms of vocals, we plan on having puns and jokes frequently. We will also parody the specific genre of whatever game we happen to be running through, such as WWII shooters. We plan on mixing humor with mystery and wonder.
EDIT: EVENT IS CANCELED due to hardware failure. Sorry folks.
This Sunday at 3 PM EST, we're going to have an event where you can freely interview us about the mod, or just talk with us. I figured that this would be a great way for us to connect with those that enjoy our mod. We LOVE reading the comments posted on our media, it motivates us and tells us if we're going in the right direction. With luck, this event will give us some great feedback on how we're doing and what we can improve on.
If you want to participate in the chat, join our Steam Group and enter the chat when the event starts. When we're done with the event, we'll all join a TF2 server and play a few rounds.
We look forward to hearing from you.
