STORY;

This mod continues the story where Half-Life 2 finished and offers one possible scenario. After the big explosion you fall to the ground and are very badly injured. Some people find you and take you home to a small village outside the city where the citadel was built. After 3 months you’re strong again and want to fight on. You have never seen Alyx or any of the others since the explosion. But you try to find new people that will fight with you against Breen. Nobody wants to help, some are afraid, others think that Breen has learned his lesson and won’t start again. It also seems that most of his organisation was lost in the explosion. Then you hear that along the coast Breen is starting again and trying to take control again. So you decide to go to the coast. There you take a little boat and go along the coast so the Combine won’t notice you coming.

FIX;

Extract this mod to you're SourceMod folder and click on the Coastline to Atmosphere folder, find the notepad called Gameinfo, inside and change the SteamAppld 220 to 215, save it and that it. You can play it without crashing.
This info does count for all HL2 excisting mods out there,
i know this is quit old info by now but i decided to add it here again anyway because there are still a lof of people that don't know this.
So, please do what is described above, it just takes one second to do so and it does fix everything!

This mod is simply.....A masterpiece! I don't know from where to start! The background story is excellent, interesting and fits the Half-Life universe at the same time. That's what attracted me to try out this mod in the first place! The length of the mod is well off, and both hardcore. Although, it would became more enjoyable if it wasn't THAT hardcore. I love the geometry and details that it has, especially the 3D skybox. At lots of times, i would take a break and gaze at the sky, considering where exactly i am. Now to the gameplay itself, as i said it is very hardcore even though i am good at aiming and taking cover. If the enemies weren't that many, i would enjoy it a lot more. The main issue basically is that the game throws you too many enemies at once, instead of, for example, having waves of hordes of enemies with supplies between each fight so that the player can keep on. Although i like the way that you use just like in Half-Life 2, the beginning is okay but the ending arduous. During the cessation, i didn't expect so many enemies yet again, and that's what dissapointed me the most, and for that i had to use god mode not once, but twice! And when i finally finished the mod, instead of thinking to myself, "Aww, too bad it was a great mod!" i thought, "Eh, okay this is the end." just because of the huge number of enemies. So to put it simply, the plethora of labor enemies is what downgraded this mod the most. Everything else is just perfect! I hope you're reading this Leon, and congratulations for this tremendous mod that i will never forget the day that i was playing it! Don't you worry about the issue with the big amount of enemies, we all do mistakes and learn from them. Besides, the mod is so perfect that the pros completely defeat the cons! I wish you the best of luck in your future Half-Life mods which i would love to play at any given time!

For at least a year now i have been thinking about updating all my (source) mods to the latest
version, which is Source SDK 2013 SP.

Because from time to time i keep getting messages from people who are not able to play them anymore,
because of the darn corrupting Valve updates. Seems Final Project is not playeble at the moment because
cutscenes crash of make the player getting stuck, (cutscenes don't end anymore).

This all will mean weeks of work, when i only stick to compiling all levels of all mods.
But there will be people who think / hope that i did rebuild parts of levels. Something i have been
thinking about at the same time. Which will mean months to a half year of extra work.

My main question is, is this worth all my time and effort,
and what do you think. Should i just stick to recompiling or also rebuilding stuff.

Please let me know what do you think, and why?

You need to install the patch also, mod does crash because of Valves updates, as so many other mods do. So please check the patch here and download and install it;

The mod does indeed crash otherwise because of updates of Valve. When the mod was released it all worked out fine without a patch.
So, install patch and it works fine!

This mod is incredible! It's like a whole new HL2 game with new, very detailed maps. The combine are rather aggressive and not a piece of cake, but overall I cannot hand enough kudos to the author. Thank you sir for such a great mod!

This mod has pretty good beginning to mid stage, but all hell comes loose when you reach the final headquarters. I was playing on Normal and i don't know how folks manage to beat the sections when you face 20 enemies in one go with minimum cover and they just keep spawning. Also the puzzles become really hard and the low light doesn't help.

Overall it's good until near the end, the weakest point is the enemy placement, they are spawned way too close to player in many cases you can see they just "drop out of no where". i know it's a good way to add difficulty and intensity by having enemies jump on you but seeing how easy you can die it feel cheap.

Had to use Godmode and noclip to get past many of the last areas because it became unenjoyable. Enemies are way too strong and way too many. And I though throwing 50 facehuggers & 30 spinners at you at 1 go in tight spots was hard.
