A lot of the work used in Quiver is original Valve content. Development seen on the Moddb does not necessarily represent the current/finalized progress of Quiver.

I love the night's sky touch, quite nice! Though I don't think it'd make much sense for it to be night time at the time of the resonance cascade, seeing that Gordon arrived at BM at 8:47 AM...

Nonetheless, great recreation. I personally enjoy the LD environment alot more than the "HD" or "SD" generations. It seems to retain the certain magical feel of Half-Life. Keep up the great work lads.

Maybe it was supposed to be like the Quake teleporter, not a night sky?

I doubt it. The sky was actually left in the .pak0 file and isn't used anywhere in the retail version of the game. That and it matches our reference screenshots perfectly.

Description

Seldom seen by most HL fans, this is the alpha version of the test chamber when the chapter was titled 'The Portal Device.' It's strange how Valve let you see the stars from a few miles underground.

When I showed this to Gabe Newell of Valve, he simply commented: "Blast from the past."
