A lot of the work used in Quiver is original Valve content. Development seen on the Moddb does not necessarily represent the current/finalized progress of Quiver.

The battery method is interesting, just like how in early concepts in Doom you were suppose to use detached hands to open cretin doors.

Well from my study of the half life beta i'd say that sierra was thinking of making the game like in doom but they redesigned some of the things and in the end it was definetly not doom..

V_model is in public SDK, but it lacks textures. Quiver uses (or at least used) custom textures. W_model is fully textured in public SDK. So they have the models.

Description

A short note about the HEV suits armor and battery:

As in the early concepts of Half-Life, the HEV suit does not have any type of armor. The battery displayed on the HUD is the suits power supply and is drained by the flashlight and long jump module. When the power is completely drained, the HEV suit is disabled until another battery is found.

The batteries laid out among the flashlight portion of the Hazard Course didn't make much sense when they were used for armor, did it? ;)
