It looks like all I'll be doing when this is out fully, is sending my ships back and forth between the same planets just to watch these....glorious....slip-space jumps
not sure if you have read the halo books and you should if you havent they are great. but in the books it tells you how the ships enter in to slipspace and what slipspace looks like. the covenant for the more part looks ok but the UNSC ships rip holes into slipspace so you would think the portal made by it would be warped and tattered but other than that the mods progress is great (p.s im not hating on this mod yo)
Actually, the UNSC effect looks like the slipspace rupture from the FTL drive used to destroy the covenant supercarrier in Halo: Reach, so idk why the UNSC slipspace rupture effect ISNT the way it should look
If I were to try to 'recreate' the one in reach then if would eat up a lot of performance. We also don't have the proper textures for me to do that, people seemed to like this one a lot for the UNSC, and wasn't is a slipspace 'malfunction' that destroyed the super carrier(except the did it on purpose). Not sure if the malfunction thing would make it look different from normal circumstances though.
hmm the enterance for the unsc looks pretty big for such a small ship. if you have a whole fleet then it will be just a black opening in front of them to jump through
just watched it on youtube, fantastic work fellas
I love it
i like it!
It looks exaxtly like it should: messy for the UNSC and clean for the Covenant.
that's really good!
That is beautifully done :)
Loved the music, I hope there will more original music in the final version

I like it too, but I think the effect should be a little bigger for the Covenant.
The music is awesome also.
Which part do you think should be bigger? The charge-up or the exit. (the travel effect is in an undecided phase)
I think it's fine, he may not be taking into account that the Assault Carrier is so freaking big.
Apparently you also get a sneak peak for the voice over of the Halcyon Cruiser haha.
Whoops. lol
we've already heard the halcyon if we've tried the demo though. so it's not that new.

HOW DARE YOU! JK, I'll see what I can do. :)

The effect has to account for a ship of any size. We can't specify by the ship size or anything.
ah ok, I did not know that. makes sense now
Really cool :)
Are you going to change the sound for the charge up for the jump? I know its possible, since it was done in sins of a galactic empire
Eh, Needs more Cowbell...
Always.
Beautiful...
These are fantastic, and it leaves me wondering what the Forerunner slip-space will look like.
idk what it is, but I can't view any of the videos. It's just a blank black box. I tried Chrome and IE. My flash is up to date. Any ideas?
