A Halo mod for the critically acclaimed Sins of a Solar Empire, that aims to capture the fast paced intensity of the Halo series. The sides will be the UNSC and the Covenant with the forerunners/sentinels and the flood acting as non-playable factions. The custom created maps will revolve around the destruction/detonation of the Halos depending on your faction while the original maps will have the feel of Sins but with Halo flavor.

Archers need a bit of a touchup, but other than that I would say this is headed in the right direction.
Thanks Dud! The current missiles are the stock TEC missiles from sins, I haven't made an archer model yet
i think the archer misssle's should be a little smaller as archer pods fire salvos of roughly 8 missles and the smoke trails should be a little smaller and small gray smoke trails not long as it's in space it.
Get some new missile effects, and this mod will be GOLD.

It was just me in the beginning, but then I picked up CaptKeyes (a jack of all trades) and then dinoff (coder). They are relatively new additions though and the video only has one thing of Captkeyes very fine work (halcyon)
Once this thing becomes a part of 7 Deadly Sins, it'll be great...

I think that the missiles fire too rapidly but it depends on how much damage each missile does. Maybe you can have a "heavy" missile that does more damage but fires more slowly and moves slower and is mostly against capital ships like cruisers and carriers and a "light" missile that's primarily against light ships like frigates and anti-fighter ships and you can switch between them.
Or you could have the "heavy" missile as an barrage "skill" that you can use every few minutes to even up the game.

the missiles shoot to much to fast they take up the entire screen and the ship need to fire like cannon rounds like have you ever played halo 2 and looked at the ships fighting wean your out side of the station and see nothing but a barrages of cannon fire from the frigs. other then that the mod look AWESOME keep up the good work.

Actually if you read the books and paid attention to the space scenes, the UNSC ships fired huge salvos of missles towards the covenant ships, albeit they are much slower than the MAC rounds they arent AS slow as the TEC missles in SINS. Back to the point though, in the books each ship was designed with 26 columns of X amount of rows of Archer Missle Pods (X varies depending on ship size), each pod carrying 3 or so missles. So the amount of missles getting fired at once should look like a spam, just not rapid fire spam :D
by the way, being an avid fan of the games and the books, i've been WAITING for a space battle game to come out :D I'm very excited for this mod
OH-D-S-T is coorect in the book (Halo: The Fall of Reach, pages 274-275) Captain Keyes mentions performing a fly-by inspection of the starboard shuttle bay and counting Archer Missile Pods thirty across and ten down, making for 300 Archer Missile Pods. Each which contain 30 Archer missiles.

then again, in the games and (mostly) books, the MAC rounds on the capital ships were the main focus of ship battles
You need to fix how many Archer Missiles are being fired.
I suggest a 5-10 seconds delay per salvo.
