A Halo mod for the critically acclaimed Sins of a Solar Empire, that aims to capture the fast paced intensity of the Halo series.
Officially, the labs split by Traxus Heavy Industries and Misriah Armory were simply referred to as "MR&D Stations" -along with their designation number- following the typical unimaginative military naming conventions. Despite their seemingly bland name, these stations are where the meat of the United Nation's military-focused research occurred. The most covert of these stations were involved in the 'Aegis' project: the incredibly experimental effort to provide ship-sized shielding.

so how many buildings are left ?
Broadcast station, I think the Defense Coordinator, Omega Station, and maybe a few others.

Also civic research and space refinery.
wrong greek letter, its gamma
Eh, I think Omega sounds better. Have some line about "The end of all comers." or something like that.
maybe OMEGAGIGANTATHONSTATION. with 200 SMACs all over it and larger than a Halo, able to take on a whole fleet of Forerunner Centurions.
Too OP?
Well I think since the SotP station is being based loosely, very loosely, of the Gamma station why even both calling it that?
Instead rename the Anchor stations into Alpha Stations (the beginning, they build fleets and what not so they begin stuff) and the Gamma the Omega ( the end, they end fleets as they are defensive based.). Just an idea.
But in response to you, no. I don't think it is OP enough. It needs to incorporate at least 3.56783 more Halo installations to be considered "OP".
anchor stations are named that because thats their naming convention, "anchor 9" for example
I know they are named after Anchor 9 but there is never an official class name given. So they aren't technically called "Anchor Stations", they are referenced to with a variety of names, like "repair stations", "Vessel Refit Station", "service, repair and refit station", etc. So an exact same station built somewhere else could be called anything, like "Pie 9" or "Spinach 9". So as I said it was just a suggestion to rename them "Alpha-Class Stations".
Maybe they called it a Anchor station because a ship would "anchor" there. Like a harbor from the 18th century but a in space equivalent.
They called Anchor 9 and most probably every other station over Reach Anchor 1-18 because of that reason. That doesn't mean the stations are called "Anchor Stations", at least they are never referred to as such. It would seem unpractical to call every station over every other planet Anchor 1-? and so it could be assumed they would be called different things there by meaning Anchor wouldn't be the word before station. I suggest Alpha Station solely to match Omega, which might be called Gamma Station anyway.
