An intimidating cruiser to say the least.
Weird, I always thought that the Halcyon was the bigger one...
The marathon was built to replace the halcyon, it also has twin-macs instead of just the one mac that the halcyon has
Looks as though it has four MACs
the halcyon is the smallest ship to receive the cruiser designation is has a single MAC cannon unless its the pillar of autumn that after its refit it had an experimental MAC cannon which could fire 3 times per charge instead of 1

It's three.
Remember that Mac cannons are internal weapons that require lots of space for the magnets and loading as well as a barrel. They wouldn't be visible as a protrusion on top of the ship. Those would be antennas and such
I was three rounds per charge because they had magnetic recyclers that would recapture the spent energy to fire the next two shots. To quote the book, "the first shot, perhaps the first pair of shots would take their sheilds out, the last round would be the knockout punch"

Dammit, I just finished my Marathon Model and was all proud of it, then I see this and im like... ****. Well now I got a smoken good reference picture to touch up mine. Extremely impress with the work of your modeler/s, Love the concept ships you create and they all have that UNSC feel and share the same level of Detail. Hats off to all of you, and Ill be purchasing this unknown to me game just for this amazing mod.
