A Halo mod for the critically acclaimed Sins of a Solar Empire, that aims to capture the fast paced intensity of the Halo series.
Fans from Facebook may have seen this a few days ago, but the rest of you rapscallions need to check out Annihilater's latest details on the Orion. Texture is coming your way shortly.

You're missing out on too much of my wit for me to be satisfied.
this is true
one word=AMAAAAAAZING
Wheres the bridge?
Internal, like a submarine.
no offense but just about all unsc ships use a forward bridge at the head of the ship or on the top of the ship the internal bridge design is more a covenant thing.
Yep. The Orion is entirely experimental. Catch up.
Whats the length in meters? (i'm irish lol) still use the metric system.
Its so big the bridge is un-seeable on the very top:D
Reminds me of the railgun from Halo 4.
This is because it was modeled from that. I'm 3 years late to respond, but you were right, penguin.
Hey im so happy you guys did the middle ground with the final model! you did the 2 prongs of the right model, but the back end as the left model, 11/10!
How long will it be in game?
Forever?
How long will it be compaired to other ships in the game like the halcyon
Her height will be similar to the Marathon, so extrapolate from that until we get another fleet picture out. :)
Judging from structural support frames that I see, thickness relative to length, I'd say this ship could be a structural possibility upto (and perhaps beyond if there are heavy internal lateral supports I can't see) 2,500 Meters (give or take) by 650 meters (give or take), If her over all beam is at least 200 meters this ship could support itself without fear of structural failure or collapse if you turn to quickly. I mean this is a BATTLEship, right?
Can't wait to see it textured!
Same here.
So just to be sure, the current UNSC capital ships are
1. Supercarrier
2. Orion-class Battleship
3. Everest-class Super Heavy Cruiser
4. Marathon-class Heavy cruiser
5?. Refit Halcyon-class light cruiser
I think the marathon is a cruiser, and there is the Athens Carrier and Phoenix class colony refit that are capital ships too maybe?
Supercarrier is our pseudo-titan.
Orion
Everest
Halcyon Refit
Athens Carrier
Phoenix-class Refit (Spirit of Fire)
so the supercarrier is NOT a cap ship?
It is technically a capital ship for the purposes of SoaSE: Entrenchment, but it is much more powerful than your standard capital ship.
in that case, supercarriers and orions are all that will be coming out of my shipyards
If you don't have fighter support and auxiliary ships, you're going to get killed out there, champ.
Leeroy Jenkins special ability
I LIKE!!
As things stand, how do the squadron capacities of the Eion, Athens and Thermopylae compare?
Some, More, Most.
With this vessel, the UNSC shall truly strike down with righteous vengeance those Covenant bastards who would bring harm to my brothers and sisters of humanity.
This model is amazing. It makes me feel like a badass just looking at it.
I dig that ship. All I have to say.
Glad to have your approval. :)
My only issue with the UNSC as a faction, is that everything looks relatively similar and I can never seem to grasp a sense of size. Anyone else have that problem too? :s
I respectfully disagree. I think SotP's scale varies enough in scope so that even a casual player would be able to be able to pick out ships at a distance.
