I actually like this design. But then I also like the 'canon' design too, so what would I know.
This is from Halo 3: ODST concept art, so it's basically canon.
Isn't this the concept art that ended up becoming the Wombat though? Wing lights on the concept suggest it's not a prowler, and the size of them in comparison to the rest suggest it's pretty small.
Not that it's a problem basing it off other concepts, i think it sort of fits, but i definitely don't think that's a canon depiction of a prowler, it's just an itteration of an ONI operated Wombat.
