I thought MAKO was a name of a small unmanned drone. As far as I'm concerned, a smallest ship equipped with slipspace engine is Chiroptera-class Stealth Vessel which was mentioned in Operation : First Strike. Although it was decommissioned by UNSC.
Well, I found it existing. Good model anyway.

The mako is a kind of shark, if I'm not mistaken. Humans like naming their craft after animals.
Meh, like I said over at CaW, I don't like it. It doesn't have a UNSC feel to it. To me its just a flat box with guns on it.

Oh no, not at all. Just look at the Frigate. It has dozens of details and is nothing near just a box. Even the Marathon and Halcyon aren't just boxes. Both have a lot of details and distinct shapes.
but such a small ship doesn't really need details... and it HAS a distinct shape... ok, its a mix of frigate and halcyon design... but hey, it got some cannons!
Philly's right, but I still agree it doesn't look UNSC. Also, I thought the Mako was more of a support cruiser. I know flak is support, but don't we still need something in the place of the Hoshiko? I was thinking it could have abilities like EMP missiles and repair Pelicans.
