I assume you mean the Onyx Sentinels? The ones from Halo Wars weren't Onyx Sentinels.
The ones from Onyx were there own independent variation. However you might include a ship made of sentinels that can change the shape of the ship to change functions.
My mistake. As for a sentinel ship, that would easily be the most complex animation(s) ever done in HW2. Actually, it might cause the engine to lag or even crash.

OK I do have to agree with you, I never even finished that one...I just didn't like it much. I'll read all the way one day but its just like WTF? Fall of Reach is my favorite, Circumference Battle, Battle of Sigma Octanus IV and the Battle of Reach. I LOVE space battles, Ghosts, The Dusk Prowler and the UNSC battle group. God I love Halo...
