A Halo mod for the critically acclaimed Sins of a Solar Empire, that aims to capture the fast paced intensity of the Halo series.
Of the derivatives and variants of the Phoenix-class, the Athens is the example of the most extreme changes as a result of upgrades and militarization. It now sports 14 inches of Titanium-A battle plate and a formidable array of hangars, making the Athens-class the optimal carrier platform for the UN Navy.
this is where I make the "dat aft" joke.
"Damn! look at dat aft!"

So much aft she makes heads spin.
oh god... you guys had to include the aft shot... *waits for the "dat aft" flood*
We're going to be dealing with the aft-ershocks of that comment for ages now.
On a serious note; love the design, its Pheonix class roots are evident in the various details, but its overall tighter profile makes it look more ergonomic and aggressive than the Pheonix.
Great job :)
now, that's a clever implementation of the aft comment...
That's what we're looking for...
Ok, you get brownie points for creative use of "aft"
Every stupid aft comment shall be minus karma'd. It's seriously not fun anymore.
Lovely ship anyways.
you would think Aft-er the first time, the joke would go away.
Christ, Defender.
You can't reuse the same joke as directly above you.
fack it. dat aft.
For those wondering why we modeled a carrier off of the Phoenix colony ship, this is modeled after the UNSC Atlas, as seen in the comics.
Halo.wikia.com
The design of the Atlas makes it apparent that she's a retrofitted Colony vessel, much in the same way the UNSC Spirit of Fire is, though she was designed as a planetary assault ship while the Atlas is a carrier/support vessel for fleet engagements.
It also says there, on the wiki, that the design appears to be based off the phoenix
ty for downvoting me for supporting Uni :D
