Stick with just forerunner. If the flood had started infecting the Covenant, the UNSC would've never met them on Harvest to begin with. But I agree - the flood were incapable of space travel on their own, and were unable to even break atmosphere without capturing a ship. That was the whole point to the flood - while they couldn't make or manufacture their own ships and equipment, they'd capture anything and everything while consuming any personnel and absorbing the knowledge needed to operate them, effectively turning your own resources against you as they used what they'd captured to keep repeating the cycle until there was nothing left before moving on to the next galaxy.
The Halo Ring destroyed all forerunner infected vessels making it impossible for them to even be in space during the human/covie war until after the founding of Installation 04 and Delta Halo which is where they infected the high charity and many CCS Class BCs

oh that would be really awesome! if you could have like a green smoky trail for the exhaust and have some particles coming out that look like stuff in Halo CE
i wonder what the edge of space would look like. its probably to big to ever find out though

Way i see it, is that these Fighter size pods would crash into a Covi Unsc Or Forerunner ship And after 10 seconds the flood would over run the Marine or Another small military on board and take over?
Probably just the fact that most of them are farther away from the camera, but one of them looks larger. I was thinking maybe if its the "mother one"? Like, it would just deploy a swarm of smaller dispersal pods to take over the ship. Is that happening?
