It is I, NinjaTheory, back again to tell you awesome tales of the world of Halo: Homefront.

He Is The Destroyer of Worlds

While you may think we're slacking when not releasing info, Velo (arguably the only one NOT slacking) has been cooking up some awesome ship models. First one we have today is the UNSC Destroyer. The UNSC Destroyer is noted as being one of the most painful ship to meet on the battlefield. This ship was originally considered to be too weak in conflict with the superior Covenant Ships. But soon all knew the amount of damage it could receive as well as dish out. With a Hull Length of only 7 meters longer than the UNSC Frigate, no one could imagine the destruction it leaves in it's wake. The Destroyers armor is one and a half to two meters of Titanium A armor plating. The Destroyer also mounts 2 Magnetic Accelerator Cannons. There is so much more to be said about this beast, but without further ado, the UNSC Destroyer.

You Want These Boxes Where?!

Along with the Destroyer, Velo has whipped up a Civilian Freighter. These babies will act as Resource Collectors for the UNSC Faction. We are currently toying with the visual aspects of UNSC resource collecting, but our hope is that the crates seen on the freighter will only be visible when the collector is full and visual load/unload.

Territory Captured! Orange Team Wins

As some of you may know, KrAzY, one of the BLS texturers has begun his own web-comic series entitled Digital Gambit. Viewable at Dgcomic.info, and updated daily, Digital Gambit is based mostly on KrAzYs views of popular media, from Halo to GTA to Zombies. Although fairly new, Digital Gambit is quickly shaping up into a popular web-comic series. So be sure to check out the site, and stay tuned, because our next update will feature an exclusive comic from the series.

Well this all looks to be tip top. I rather like the idea of that Destroyer. Though I would imagine that although it packs a punch it is rather weak on its flanks, since its main weapons face forwards.

And that comic is rather funny.

If anything, I oculd only imagine it's rearward firepower to be low, but the armor is probably reinforced there specifically for that reason.

Provided the destroyer does have the maneuverability of a Frigate, flanking is nearly a non-issue.

it does not have the maneuverability of a frigate.

Canonically, it's stated as having the manueverability of a frigate. So until the team makes a decision on that point, we will stick with canon information.

It doesn't actually say that. I just checked.

Although keyes calls it "fast", he later says everyone thinks it's a slow and cumbersome ship, which would imply it's not as manueverable as a frigate. Possibly just as fast, but it probably has a slower acceleration and a much slower turn rate.
