Our representation of Halo's iconic space combat in the Homeworld 2 engine, which puts the player in command of some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the UNSC and Covenant and to provide a balanced and competitive experience.
Yes, I know, it's not the actual beta release yet!
The following are some screenshots of Firefight in its current state on a map native to the mod, including shots of the U.N.C. Liberator in action, unintended cooperation between frigate groups in combat, the sheer number of enemies faced at just wave fifteen, our new MAC FX, improved and tweaked, shots of Archer spam, and some screens of oldies but goldies.
Enjoy!
beautiful!!!
This looks more Lucasfilm style multi-million dollar funded CGI, not a video game mod. Honestly, the team that is making this mod has incredible talent.
Wouldn't quite say starwars levels of CGI, but we're pretty happy with the quality and style we've developed.
Do the engines happen to "flex" depending on speed? That would make this!
Flex as in the flaps on the back? No, as far as I know, you cannot animate something based on how fast they are going.
In FPS's they can do pretty much anything these days but it always has the same idea about it, still they just keep pumping money into it. And rts's don't seem to develop that much at all these days.
But when I see stuff like this at work I am happy to know that there are still ppl out there who make awesome stuff, simply cuz its awesome.
Love from the rts(space) gaming community
Well most of the big stuff in FPS happen during cutscenes anyways, and are not really in the game. I'm sure it would be possible if we designed our own engine, but we're working with an archaic game engine from 2003 that for some reason doesn't have parralax shaders when most games at that time did.
im guees ur doing invasion
