I just now remembered this. Am I the only person who found the AA fire from these things deafening to be zoomed into and tending to cut in and out? Hoping they'll be more anti-munition now and less anti-fighter when the missiles come in.

Would anti-munitions even matter against the Covenant? Everything is plasma...

Sadly, weapons will always target ships over munitions first. However, the smaller turrets are strictly anti-missile.

They could possibly disrupt plasma torpedos and fuel rod shots :P

So the point-defense and cwis are strictly Anti-Missile? Or is it only the point defense.

The small turret is a point defense CIWS that is used to shoot down missiles. The bigger AA gun is both anti-fighter and anti-missile. However, if there is a fighter around, the big one will always target fighters over missiles. Just a game limitation.

This entire mod isn't easy on computers. The amount of fire streaming from a single Parris was enough to put my old PC into the workshop for a day.

Weapons have been tuned down with upped damage to compensate. Also, with my new textures and optimization of the base mesh, the game already runs a lot smoother.

Description

Test flight of newly refurbished corvettes in orbit of Mars, near Phobos.

These are the reskinned corvettes I just finished for release. Except for the Prowler, which was graciously donated by the Sins of the Prophet team. Model by A_lleras and texture by Keksz.

For release, all I have left to do is convert the rest of the icons (stations and weapons) to the holographic white scheme and then touch up on the Gantry and Scaffold structures. I would like to go ahead and re-textured the Orthrus and Hermes, but I think that would take too long. Longer than 5 days, anyways. Regardless, I hope everyone has fun on Halloween!
