What exactly could use the superlaser button? Could it be the energy projector mentioned in the article? Most intriguing... On a less mysterious note, that model looks great!

It is indeed the Energy Projector, the superlaser button fires every ships energy projector (CCS and Assault Carrier) at the same target at the same time. You can fire them individually as well using each ship's abilities.

Very cool, but I was under the impression that Covenant ships were more silver/black than purple/pink.

They are silver/black, it's just the ambient lighting of the map :).

It all varies depending on the fleet. I've seen/read that specific colors are given depending on rank and over all age. The most common color is silver/black but there is one fleet that uses purple.
