Post 5-2010 Mac enabled Source engine Orange box compatible yet?
HL² old school 2 Beta (half-life-old-school/news/beta21) with the Orange box HDR lighting looked pretty sweet...

Just in case anyone's having problems with this or any other mod...
May 2010....
Valve released an Mac-enabled" update (downgrade) for Half-Life 2 on May 26th-2010 that, among other changes, made it use the Orange Box (Episode 2) engine to allow Valve to expand into the "Mac" (Macintosh) market.
Because of this update alot /a high percentage of mods aren't working properly. (Most mods are royally screwed up.)
Issues the May 26th-2010 "cough-cough" "update" is causing for most mods.
1: Crashes, failure to load, freezing, missing textures, etc, etc... In a nutshell the "new" game engine's bits and pieces are in DIFFERENT locations.
(Little shout out to Valve... if you're going to push a major "update" you should A: provide a way to REVERT back to a previously WORKING state...
And B: Additionally if you're not going to provide such you should configure/enable the new engine to realize the mod is trying to load the old engine... and load the game/mod with the needed parameters /pointers to the files it's trying to access...
Details to what the 5-2010 broke (AFAIK)
1: First, any mod that loads the AppID of Half-Life 2 or Episode 2 through the mod's gameinfo.txt file will fail to load properly. Mods now must load the Source SDK Base in order to function as intended.
2: The second issue is that a handful of Half-Life 2 maps were recompiled with HDR lighting with the new update. These maps will have broken lighting when played if the mod does not support the HDR lighting used in these maps.
(While it is possible for a player to fix this by extracting the pre-update maps into their installation(s), this may be a challenging issue for those who have a post May-2010? install as it's been reported the pre-update maps aren't there.... )
needs more anime posters and stuff music would be nice too
changed my mind on the mod after i reached the 2nd world its pretty cool mod
Anime style enemies would make this game perfect :D
this is a good mod. i like it.
Still waiting for a good update...
