Half-Life 2: Short Stories is a team working on a group of modifications that take place in the same realm. A lot of the focus is on the story and gameplay, new innovative set pieces and puzzles. After the release of the first episode of Human Error, the team is planning to release more episodes and expand the characters and the world.

This Is Human Error is a series of dev diary and , in which we will introduce you to both the developer team (taking you behind the scenes), and the characters of Human Error. We hope to continue this series until the release of first episode of Human Error, and hopefully even after that.

In this first episode, I am showing you some of our early progress with the voice acting (PlanetPhillip and CatzEyez93), telling you about some of our gameplay choices, and how sometimes you have to cut features (the ice cream truck) no matter how much you liked them.

I am also showing you some early tests of a new NPC (the mantaray) and the reasoning on adding him into the mod. (Although, the Mantaray didn't stay just like planned here, it still proved to be a good idea, and solved some problems we had with the gameplay).
