Not all the barrels we have blow up. The majority of them don't, but the ones in this particular room do.

A little too dark.

Honestly, Blue Shift was easily the darkest HL game of them all. Especially the Power Struggle chapter. I remember playing and being really annoyed that my flashlight kept running out.

I have to agree with Armageddon, the lighting is kinda poor compared to the original as for the lighting should be brighter in this shot. The bluish tint to it is also a bit bland.

I think the darkness really added to the feeling of fear, which should be given seeing as how Barney isn't wearing powered armor of any kind.

I think it's more realistic than the original. Those 2 little emergency flood lights above the door would not light up the entire room so much as they appear to do in the original shot.

And I agree with smagti... that blue barrel is very distracting. I want to shoot it; or pick it up and throw it at someone then shoot it.

Very cool re-imagining of that room.
