GoldenEye: Source is a Multiplayer only total conversion modification of Half-Life 2. It is a fan made recreation, released for free, with only one goal in mind; to bring the memories and experiences from the original GoldenEye64 back to life using Source Technology. We want you to look at this mod and remember the first best multiplayer first-person shooter ever made. We are doing our best to bring in the opinions of the community to create a game that everyone is going to enjoy. But, we are not here to recreate the game exactly how it was in GE64, a lot of things have changed since they first designed that game, mainly in technology and gamers experiences. We are here to take the game even further but at the same time provide a lot of those fun elements that hardcore GE64 fans will enjoy. [Old release] We are bringing GoldenEye: Source out of Beta status with this update. This is the full installation for players. This installation will remove your existing Beta 4.0 installation if it exists as this update is not compatible with previous versions. Your achievements will be backed up automatically, but we suggest you back them up yourselfs by copying 'gesource\gamestate.txt' to your desktop PRIOR to installation of v4.1! YOU MUST HAVE STEAM AND PURCHASED A SOURCE BASED GAME TO PLAY (not our rules)! HL2 Deathmatch Qualifies (only $4!).

I installed it, but when i open the game it says i have to download the "source SDK base 2007" :S
Open up Steam, click Library, click tools, scroll down and install "Source SDK Base 2007, and enjoy! :D
Well. if it pops out the "install Source SDK 2007" just press cancel. then double click the "GoldenEye Souce v4.1" icon and wait a few minutes... you dont have to fully install the source SDK 2007...

You only need the SDK 2007 "base" to run mods. That is what you need installed.
If my internet wasn't about to get capped I would totaly DL this :(, Golden Eye made the N64 along with mario cart!
may finally give this a try after the disappointment that was goldeneye for the wii.
I love the casino map and the other new maps. I still don't see a turn left or turn right option in keyboard so I have to type in console bind "capslock" "+left" and bind "mouse3" "+right" I also change secondary attack to shift and aim to right click. I hope this makes the game easier for people because it does for me.

I get a windows incompatibility error message when I try to install it. Im running Windows 7 64bit. Running in admin mode doesn't work either

Steam for mac doesn't support any mod development. Valve has not released an SDK for the mac and will not in the forseeable future.

Whenever I try to download the exe it saves itself as "GoldenEye_Source_v4.1_full.1" as in without the .exe at the end
When I download this file to my sourcemods folder it doesn't show up on my games list on steam...
Can someone please help me out with this? The game looks absolutely awesome and I really want to give it a try.
Try the torrent or mirror. This usually means download is failing and you are seeing the partial download.

Mod is running on OrangeBox Engine. But all you need to play is really any Source game: Tinyurl.com <-- List of games that will work.
